Délio Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Oscar Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Kléber Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Squadra Demarchi's supporters rose to their feet, but Kléber Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Perivaldo Moreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Perivaldo Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulinho Paraibano in the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the game, Valdo Guimarães cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Oscar Saldanha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Perivaldo Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléber Queirós in the 21st minute of the match. Squadra Demarchi's Ciro Castro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Vítor de Senna in the 30 minute of the game. A collision led to MARINUS MZC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Délio Souza hit a great ball. Oscar Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdo Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. MARINUS MZC's attentive Donato de Souza managed to snatch the ball when Nilson Corrêa made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudinho Pinho was the one to do the kick off. Oscar Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdo Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 55 minutes, Kléber Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Squadra Demarchi and the MARINUS MZC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Squadra Demarchi's Kléber Queirós got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 58th minute, Valdo Guimarães left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MARINUS MZC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. With a little luck, MARINUS MZC's Perivaldo Moreira got control of the ball when Kléber Queirós tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 71 played minutes MARINUS MZC got a freekick which was hit by Alex Vianna. After having played for 75 minutes, Valdo Guimarães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MARINUS MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdo Guimarães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. MARINUS MZC's Thiago Ortiz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ciro Castro in the 77 minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdo Guimarães in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Délio Souza hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the MARINUS MZC defense, Kléber Queirós kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Perivaldo Moreira. The MARINUS MZC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Perivaldo Moreira should have stopped the shot. Claudinho Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Moreira having to interfere.
