Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélder Trigo in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Davi Tande prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Hélder Trigo sped through CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Davi Tande. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Garcia in the 23rd minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Augusto Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toninho Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Hélder Trigo scored 1-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Davi Tande, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Reynaldo Zanette could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Zé Augusto Peixoto made a huge save. Hélder Trigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 51 minutes, Toninho Garcia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA and the Vascogoianiense FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Reynaldo Zanette made a precise shot to the right of Zé Augusto Peixoto. Vascogoianiense FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. When Davi Schmidt fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's protests and gave Davi Schmidt a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. With his leg Davi Tande managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Vascogoianiense FC's Hélder Trigo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Vascogoianiense FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Ronaldão Carvalho hit a great ball. In the 68th minute, Ulisses Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute, Toninho Garcia made a precise shot to the right of Zé Augusto Peixoto. Vascogoianiense FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. After a rather tough play, Vascogoianiense FC's Válter Martins got a free kick in the 74th minute. Zé Augusto Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Zanette in the 76th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Zanette had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Augusto Peixoto. Vascogoianiense FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reynaldo Zanette was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. After 79 minutes of play, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Toninho Garcia made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Augusto Peixoto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Júnior Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davi Tande having to interfere. Hélder Trigo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Davi Tande made a huge save. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Davi Tande proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA from getting a goal against them. Ronaldo Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Trigo came free, but Davi Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duda Goiano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zé Augusto Peixoto. Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
