The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrique Abreu got free with Will Muralhas in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Oswaldo Godoi fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SE Palmeiras's protests and gave Oswaldo Godoi a yellow card for diving instead. Frank Rosa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 9th minute. Agua Santa's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Will Muralhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Cosme in the 12th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Agua Santa's goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Godoi came free, but Tomé Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, SE Palmeiras's Oswaldo Godoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomé Mota made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Will Muralhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. SE Palmeiras's Will Muralhas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Rosa in the 34th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abelardo Medeiros in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomé Mota saved Agua Santa from getting behind. The SE Palmeiras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Will Muralhas should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abelardo Medeiros to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Oswaldo Godoi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tomé Mota, 1-3. Alfredo Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Ian Cerezo hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in SE Palmeiras's zone, Enrique Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Will Muralhas came out of the goal and Enrique Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the game, one of SE Palmeiras:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. João Vítor de Almeida hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute of the match Eugênio Monteiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Will Muralhas skillfully saved the ball. Christiano Baiano hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute Tiago Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Will Muralhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Enrique Abreu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Will Muralhas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Christiano Baiano charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christiano Baiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st minute, Christiano Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the game, Agua Santa's Frank Rosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Will Muralhas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Will Muralhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Abreu in the 97th minute of the match. Agua Santa were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing SE Palmeiras to leave the ground with a draw.
