Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tiago Machado started the match with the kick off. After 5 played minutes EDI MZB got a freekick which was hit by Evandro Maia. After 8 played minutes, Squadra Demarchi's Nelson Vidal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tarcisio Gerber came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Squadra Demarchi reached it. In the 12th match minute, Squadra Demarchi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilson Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Claudinho Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belmiro Sanches scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oscar Saldanha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game was made by Fábio Alves with Sidnei Fernandez as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The corner went over the outstretched arms of EDI MZB's goalie and right to Júnior Meirelles. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. EDI MZB's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Belmiro Sanches blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oscar Saldanha having to make a save. Oscar Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belmiro Sanches, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Oscar Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Richard Moura charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Richard Moura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Richard Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Belmiro Sanches in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Squadra Demarchi players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. EDI MZB were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudinho Pinho was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the EDI MZB defense, Kléber Queirós kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tarcisio Gerber. The EDI MZB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tarcisio Gerber should have stopped the shot. Oscar Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Machado in the 61st minute of the match. Oscar Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Machado in the 63rd minute of play. After 64 played minutes EDI MZB got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Velasco. Oscar Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belmiro Sanches, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. David Andrade charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Andrade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th minute, Paulinho Paraibano sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and EDI MZB's Tarcisio Gerber didn't even have to move. Belmiro Sanches could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Oscar Saldanha made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Machado in the 80th minute of play forced Squadra Demarchi's goalkeeper Oscar Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Tiago Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EDI MZB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Squadra Demarchi's Claudinho Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the EDI MZB defense, Kléber Queirós kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tarcisio Gerber. The EDI MZB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tarcisio Gerber should have stopped the shot. Evandro Maia hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. If Tiago Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the EDI MZB players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Squadra Demarchi.
