Duda Goiano hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the match, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goalkeeper Davi Tande had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Belmiro Sanches. Tarcisio Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. EDI MZB's Tarcisio Gerber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Zanette in the 24th minute of play. Davi Tande didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 37th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. After a rather tough play, CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Ronaldo Antunes got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Belmiro Sanches was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Antunes. Davi Tande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Velasco in the 53rd minute of the match. Belmiro Sanches blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Davi Tande having to make a save. Duda Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The supporters of EDI MZB booed when CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Belmiro Sanches's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Davi Tande was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Garcia in the 75th minute of play forced EDI MZB's goalkeeper Tarcisio Gerber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reynaldo Zanette's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tarcisio Gerber firmly grabbed it by the left post. EDI MZB's Tiago Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evandro Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrick Vergílio during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Tiago Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute Tiago Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davi Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
