Alberto Mendonça started the match with the kick off. Alex Vianna's late challenge caught a SORRISO E. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Vianna helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd match minute, MARINUS MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Vianna to maneuver through the defense. Horácio Pereira took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Perivaldo Moreira. Perivaldo Moreira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Guilherme Arantes got free with Valdo Catarinense in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 17 minutes into the game, SORRISO E. C.'s Júlio Eger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Perivaldo Moreira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 19th minute, Reinaldo Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Perivaldo Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in SORRISO E. C.'s zone, Valdo Guimarães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdo Catarinense came out of the goal and Valdo Guimarães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31stth minute of the game Valdo Guimarães who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SORRISO E. C.'s Valdo Catarinense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, SORRISO E. C.'s Mateus Salgado got a free kick in the 31st minute. When Thiago Ortiz came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the MARINUS MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thiago Ortiz couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the match, Júlio Eger notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of MARINUS MZC's Perivaldo Moreira. Perivaldo Moreira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Perivaldo Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

When Alberto Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the SORRISO E. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Mendonça couldn't finish the play. Horácio Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Perivaldo Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to MARINUS MZC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Alex Vianna hit a great ball. 90 minutes in the game, Horácio Pereira fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Perivaldo Moreira having to interfere. SORRISO E. C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
