An annoying self made goal, 1-0. The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when SORRISO E. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Couto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Serafim Simão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palestra do Interior's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SORRISO E. C. the free kick. The supporters of SORRISO E. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberto Mendonça to make the kick off.
