Thanks to some nice moves Otto Hermansson could shoot a difficult shot in the 14th minute, which Inácio Guimarães however easily saved by the left post. Inácio Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertil Hake in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Operário Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Paulo José Bastos hit a great ball. Meadow Village were furious when Rasmus Sigfridsson was red carded, 24 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Meadow Village fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bertil Hake in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inácio Guimarães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 39 minutes into the match, Operário Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Albom came free, but Inácio Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clóvis Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clóvis Lima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee ignored Meadow Village's protests and gave Edward Ivarsson a yellow card for diving instead.
