FC Dezassete's Alcides Valadares got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Willem Migneault could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Norberto Melo made a huge save. Willem Migneault might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Norberto Melo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Willem Migneault ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 13th minute Stefan Beller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Garron Korner almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Dezassete's Norberto Melo did a great save. If Alcides Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paco Fügli made in the 25th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Dezassete's Silvestre Salazar. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zelg FC's goalkeeper Aurelius Bolduc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stefan Beller in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Norberto Melo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zelg FC's Aurelius Bolduc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alcides Valadares in the 32nd minute of play. Norberto Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Beller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aurelius Bolduc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alcides Valadares's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After 43 played minutes FC Dezassete got a freekick which was hit by Gatis Caca-Rato.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Willem Migneault stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Willem Migneault shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th match minute, FC Dezassete was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Nunes to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, FC Dezassete's Maurício Caetano got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Stefan Beller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Dezassete's goalkeeper Norberto Melo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alcides Valadares got free with Aurelius Bolduc in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 91st minute of the game Torcato Caetano made a throw-in which Nivaldo Rijo played forward. After a defensive mix-up in Zelg FC's zone, Nivaldo Rijo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelius Bolduc came out of the goal and Nivaldo Rijo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
