The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Norberto Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telo Nunez, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Telo Nunez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Telo Nunez made a precise shot to the right of Norberto Melo. FC Dezassete's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 18 minutes, Nivaldo Rijo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Dezassete and the Sporting Burgas players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Dezassete getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Nivaldo Rijo hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute Galo Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Galo Campos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Burgas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 31 minutes into the game, Pero Igual recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Norberto Melo. Pero Igual showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Telo Nunez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Norberto Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 38 minutes, Tiago Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Dezassete's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Dantas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Sporting Burgas's Nerio Silva got a free kick in the 39th minute. Álvaro Perpiñán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alcides Valadares in the 45th minute of play. Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alcides Valadares in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Telo Nunez to make the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Pedro Póvoas in the 51st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sporting Burgas's Gentza Gil. In the 58th minute, Lili Li hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alcides Valadares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the game, Roger Nueva threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Dezassete's Maurício Caetano quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Norberto Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Galo Campos in the 69th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute of the match Tiago Dantas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Álvaro Perpiñán showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. FC Dezassete's Norberto Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telo Nunez in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Dezassete's goalkeeper Norberto Melo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 79 played minutes FC Dezassete got a freekick which was hit by Nivaldo Rijo. After a rather tough play, Sporting Burgas's Rodrigo Parra got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Telo Nunez notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of FC Dezassete's Norberto Melo. Norberto Melo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telo Nunez in the 91st minute of play forced FC Dezassete's goalkeeper Norberto Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gentza Gil's late challenge caught a FC Dezassete's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gentza Gil helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Dezassete booed when Sporting Burgas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gentza Gil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sporting Burgas's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
