An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 7th minute. An unexpected shot in the 9th minute by Du Yuan Chao got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. LVCVS AVGVSTI's Rosario Escarza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington Netto in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Ronny Skytt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Matias Taffarel, 1-1. Du Yuan Chaos short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Matias Taffarel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Matias Taffarel made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Du Yuan Chao sent off a good shot on target. Matias Taffarel made an important save on a dangerous shot by C.J. La Marca in the 25th minute. After some careless play in the LVCVS AVGVSTI defense, Chico Valadares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rosario Escarza. The LVCVS AVGVSTI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rosario Escarza should have stopped the shot. Rosario Escarza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Pio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute Pastor Pio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosario Escarza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to . SC Manhattan . getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Van Dijk hit a great ball. Matias Taffarel acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 35th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ronny Skytt. In the 38th minute, Chico Valadares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rosario Escarza was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Rosario Escarza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Pio in the 41st minute of the match. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by LVCVS AVGVSTI's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pastor Pio was slow to take the kick. During this time . SC Manhattan .'s players had a chance to rest. Chico Valadares took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rosario Escarza. Rosario Escarza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chico Valadares to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Pastor Pio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The . Matias Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from C.J. La Marca came free, but Matias Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute of the match, Chico Valadares got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rosario Escarza was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
