The crowd rose to their feet as Garanhão do SUL's Tarcísio Palha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Álvaro Perpiñán. That made the score 1-0 after 22 minutes of play. Heitor Peseiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telo Nunez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Telo Nunez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Heitor Peseiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albano Leizarraga in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Álvaro Perpiñán prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 42 minutes Sporting Burgas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tarcísio Palha who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Israel Coutinho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Álvaro Perpiñán quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Telo Nunez was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Vale in the 55th minute of play forced Sporting Burgas's goalkeeper Álvaro Perpiñán to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th match minute, Sporting Burgas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pero Igual to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute Sporting Burgas were awarded a corner. Maurin Canturri went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Pero Igual heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 81 minutes Garanhão do SUL's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maurin Canturri who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Maurin Canturri got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Heitor Peseiro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 85th minute, Maurin Canturri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Heitor Peseiro made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Galo Campos sent off a good shot on target. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Garanhão do SUL's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Maurin Canturri was slow to take the kick. During this time Sporting Burgas's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Sporting Burgas's corner Rodrigo Parra fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Heitor Peseiro quite easily take care of the ball. Alexandre Vale scored 2-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Álvaro Perpiñán, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Garanhão do SUL had won after a very even match.
