After a defensive mix-up in Black Rose 1979's zone, Teun Rondou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomero Guillem came out of the goal and Teun Rondou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute Rein Goethals shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Guillem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Black Rose 1979's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelian Barboni came free, but Baldomero Guillem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baldomero Guillem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rein Goethals in the 58th minute of play. Baxter De Hond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davor Šuker in the 61st minute of the match. Black Rose 1979's Baldomero Guillem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelian Barboni in the 74th minute of play. When Enzo-Nicolás Pérez came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Black Rose 1979 fans jumped to their feet. In the 84th minute, Aurelian Barboni ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baldomero Guillem was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 87th minute, Tim Stevens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
