In the 5th minute, Patrício Poças got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, CD Boiro's Jose-Juan Colillas got a free kick in the 11th minute. Patrício Poças struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Walme Ortega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garanhão do SUL. Gonçalo Lobo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Walme Ortega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Walme Ortega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Lobo in the 17th minute of play. Garanhão do SUL's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aristides Brochado in the 19th minute. Garanhão do SUL's Aristides Brochado was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Walme Ortega in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 20 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Muelas came free, but Raimundo Delgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Israel Muelas took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Raimundo Delgado to make any attempt to save it. Walme Ortega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Cerqueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, Gonçalo Lobo made a precise shot to the right of Walme Ortega. CD Boiro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Raimundo Delgado acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 39th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Bienvenido Saavedra. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Valadão in the 45th minute of play forced CD Boiro's goalkeeper Walme Ortega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute Artur Curado suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. In the 50th minute, Adán Cuevas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adán Cuevas made a kick off. In the 56th play minute Patrício Poças came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Walme Ortega. 1-2. After 61 minutes CD Boiro's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aristides Brochado who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Garanhão do SUL's Aristides Brochado to fire away a dangerous shot which Walme Ortega despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 72 played minutes Garanhão do SUL got a freekick which was hit by Silvério Sabrosa. Adán Cuevas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raimundo Delgado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isidro Millán went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Tomás Cerqueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 83 minutes into the match, CD Boiro's goalkeeper Walme Ortega had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silvério Sabrosa. 87 minutes into the game, Tomás Cerqueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garanhão do SUL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Boiro the free kick. In the 87th match minute, Garanhão do SUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Cerqueira to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ceandro Ocaña in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimundo Delgado saved Garanhão do SUL from getting behind. Raimundo Delgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidro Millán in the 99th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
