Castanheiro SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Serafim Cearense in the 4th minute. Mauro Sarmento made a great header on Castanheiro SC's corner, it was just that Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Leonardo Romani managed to reach the ball for a save. Júnior Alagoano struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Leonardo Romani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castanheiro SC. Leonardo Romani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After 10 played minutes Club Deportivo O IRIXO got a freekick which was hit by Iosu Toledo. Leonardo Romani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Sarmento in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Josu Pabon got a free kick in the 15th minute. Leonardo Romani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Eger in the 19th minute. Leonardo Romani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Sarmento in the 20th minute of the match. Leonardo Romani made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Júnior Alagoano sent off a good shot on target. After 23 minutes of play, Castanheiro SC's Marcelo Eger made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonardo Romani was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iosu Toledo charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iosu Toledo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when Club Deportivo O IRIXO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iosu Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Leonardo Romani got control of the ball when Marcelo Eger tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júnior Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute of the match, Mauro Sarmento tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leonardo Romani saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 40 minutes into the game, Marco Bezerra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leonardo Romani. Marco Bezerra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 43 minutes into the match, Mauro Sarmento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonardo Romani. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauro Sarmento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0.
Leonardo Romani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júnior Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Leonardo Romani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Eger in the 58th minute of play. After some careless play in the Club Deportivo O IRIXO defense, Mauro Sarmento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonardo Romani. The Club Deportivo O IRIXO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonardo Romani should have stopped the shot. Leonardo Romani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Eger in the 68th minute of the match. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Josu Pabon got his second yellow card of the match in the 68th minute. The referee ordered Josu Pabon off the ground. Josu Pabon kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Mauro Sarmento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonardo Romani. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauro Sarmento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Leonardo Romani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telmo da Fonseca in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute Marcelo Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Romani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Castanheiro SC's Marcelo Eger got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcelo Eger succeeded in the game's 83rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 7-0. Marcelo Eger took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonardo Romani. Leonardo Romani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. After 91 played minutes Club Deportivo O IRIXO got a freekick which was hit by Antero Vadillos. 94 minutes into the game, Antero Vadillos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castanheiro SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Antero Vadillos got a free kick in the 94th minute. Castanheiro SC's Marcelo Eger suffered a concussion in the 95th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 95 minutes, Dacio Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Deportivo O IRIXO and the Castanheiro SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 97th minute, Dacio Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 97 minutes, Serafim Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castanheiro SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafim Cearense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Castanheiro SC were the better team. Castanheiro SC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
