If Gonçalo Lobo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrício Poças could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Tomé Mota made a huge save. A collision led to Agua Santa getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Jânio Arantes hit a great ball. Tomé Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonçalo Lobo in the 18th minute of the match. Tomé Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Cerqueira in the 24th minute of play. Gonçalo Lobo spun around in front of the goal 26 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Agua Santa's goal. In the 29th minute Enrique Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Delgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st match minute, Garanhão do SUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo Lobo to maneuver through the defense. Ernesto Velloso's late challenge caught a Garanhão do SUL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Raimundo Delgado successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Oséas Trigo hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Agua Santa's William Luz was substituted for Fábio Lopez. The supporters of Garanhão do SUL booed when Agua Santa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oséas Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomé Mota came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Garanhão do SUL's Gonçalo Lobo. But to his dismay, Gonçalo Lobo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Lobo in the 68th minute of play forced Agua Santa's goalkeeper Tomé Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oséas Trigo struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Raimundo Delgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Agua Santa. Oséas Trigo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Raimundo Delgado skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some careless play in the Garanhão do SUL defense, Oséas Trigo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raimundo Delgado. The Garanhão do SUL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raimundo Delgado should have stopped the shot. In the 96th match minute, Garanhão do SUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristides Brochado to maneuver through the defense. When Frank Rosa came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Agua Santa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Rosa couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Agua Santa walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
