When Paraná Clube's Shah Tan in the 2nd minute got a chance for a shot 2nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ciborro's goalie prevented a goal. Shah Tan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Filipe Dias made a huge save. After 6 played minutes Paraná Clube got a freekick which was hit by Darren Rajah. The audience was convinced that Shah Tan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filipe Dias was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. In the 16th minute, Paraná Clube's Shahiran Hian dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 20th minute, David Lameirinhas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Darren Chandran was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Alexandre Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute Shah Tan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shah Tan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Filipe Dias skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Paraná Clube getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Afriz Choo hit a great ball. Paraná Clube's Shahiran Hian got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Darren Chandran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Barcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Paraná Clube's Darren Chandran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Barcelos in the 48th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Shah Tan made a kick off. Filipe Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shahiran Hian in the 51st minute of play. When Alexandre Neto fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ciborro's protests and gave Alexandre Neto a yellow card for diving instead. Alexandre Neto hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Shah Tan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filipe Dias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After 66 minutes, Aristides Calheiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ciborro and the Paraná Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Paraná Clube booed when Ciborro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Calheiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steven Abisheganaden's late challenge caught a Ciborro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Steven Abisheganaden helped the player get up and apologised. During the 70th minute of the match Alexandre Neto completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Alexandre Neto a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Ciborro getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Alexandre Neto hit a great ball. Filipe Dias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shah Tan's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Shahiran Hian notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Ciborro's Filipe Dias. Filipe Dias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Paraná Clube's Darren Chandran got control of the ball when Aristides Calheiros tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shahiran Hian in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filipe Dias saved Ciborro from getting behind. Afriz Choo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Filipe Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Paraná Clube had won after a very even match.
