In the 20th match minute, Ciborro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristides Calheiros to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 21 minutes, Jörg Melliger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Founex FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jörg Melliger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sabino Eanes's late challenge caught a Founex FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sabino Eanes helped the player get up and apologised. If Gautier Setz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ciborro booed when Founex FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pippin Sankt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Ricardo Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciborro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Neiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 41 minutes into the game, Pippin Sankt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Founex FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ciborro the free kick. After 41 played minutes Founex FC got a freekick which was hit by Pippin Sankt. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when David Lameirinhas made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörg Melliger in the 50th minute of play forced Ciborro's goalkeeper Filipe Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Founex FC were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Ciborro's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anatole Pfiffer took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Calheiros in the 54th minute of play forced Founex FC's goalkeeper Josue Trüssel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A wasted opportunity for Ciborro. 63 minutes into the match, Founex FC's goal looked a bit too open when David Lameirinhas came free, but Josue Trüssel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberto Barcelos in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Josue Trüssel saved Founex FC from getting behind. If Pippin Sankt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 minutes of play, Founex FC's Gautier Setz made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Filipe Dias was left in no man's land by his defense there! 71 minutes into the match, Ciborro's goalkeeper Filipe Dias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gautier Setz. 71 minutes into the game, Alexandre Neto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ciborro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Founex FC the free kick. In the 72nd minute, Jörg Melliger fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Filipe Dias was a little too slow when Gautier Setz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 2-5. Founex FC's Josue Trüssel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Barcelos in the 91st minute of play. Founex FC's Gautier Setz was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 93rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Founex FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
