The referee ignored Hatebreed FC's protests and gave Ercole Trinca a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Hatebreed FC's Ercole Trinca got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 14th minute, Fabrizio Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Malu's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Salomone came free, but Nico Campidelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Ferruccio De Bartolo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferruccio De Bartolo in the 24th minute of play forced Malu's goalkeeper Nico Campidelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th match minute, Malu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Secco to maneuver through the defense. Alvise Demaria was a little too slow when Kauã Rezende got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Salomone stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Hatebreed FC's Ferruccio De Bartolo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nico Campidelis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alvise Demaria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malu's Cipriano Passos got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 63 minutes, Ferruccio De Bartolo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After 66 minutes, Amerigo Di Giandomenico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hatebreed FC and the Malu players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Hatebreed FC's zone, Cipriano Passos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvise Demaria came out of the goal and Cipriano Passos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Malu booed when Hatebreed FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrizio Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hatebreed FC's zone, Kauã Rezende stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvise Demaria came out of the goal and Kauã Rezende tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 71 played minutes Hatebreed FC got a freekick which was hit by Ercole Trinca. Alvise Demaria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kauã Rezende in the 73rd minute of play. Kauã Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvise Demaria having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kauã Rezende in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvise Demaria saved Hatebreed FC from getting behind. Nico Campidelis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Salomone in the 79th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Virgílio Favoretto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute there was a penalty for Hatebreed FC. Franco Biscotti stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nico Campidelis. 2-2. When Hatebreed FC's Alberto Salomone in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Malu's goalie prevented a goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
