The audience was convinced that Alberto Barcelos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elivélton Porto was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Ciborro's Filipe Dias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Ciborro from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, David Lameirinhas put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Elivélton Porto. Bruninho Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Sabóia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filipe Dias was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Sabóia in the 44th minute of play forced Ciborro's goalkeeper Filipe Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when David Lameirinhas made the kick off in the second half. Elivélton Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Lameirinhas in the 52nd minute of play.
