Tony Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erling Halland in the 17th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, CACYFA's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Mendes came free, but Luis Quirce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind SE Palestra Itália's goalkeeper Tony Chaves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner led CACYFA's Marcos Acuña to fire away a dangerous shot which Tony Chaves despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Richard Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Luis Quirce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute Erling Halland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tony Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erling Halland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Augusto Neto made in the 42nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Luiz Fabiano Duarte however managed to control.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clayton Sergi was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, SE Palestra Itália's Clayton Sergi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luis Quirce narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Acar Buğrahan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Luis Quirce made a huge save. CACYFA's Ahmet Kadri Adılhan was substituted for Erling Halland. The throw-in from Marcos Acuña in the 79th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by SE Palestra Itália's Carlos Augusto Neto. In the 82nd minute Acar Buğrahan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Quirce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, SE Palestra Itália's Luis Quirce threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Acar Buğrahan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When SE Palestra Itália's Acar Buğrahan in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
