With a couple of smart ball manuevers Desiderio Theobald in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnaldo Totakoxe saved Vascão-ES from getting behind. Sérgio Madruga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sercan Tümerdem in the 24th minute of the match. 2-0 became the score in the 26th minute when Desiderio Theobald elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Sérgio Madruga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zézinho Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 34th match minute, Club Atletico Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Corre to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Baumar in the 38th minute of play forced Club Atletico Talleres's goalkeeper Sérgio Madruga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Vascão-ES's Sercan Tümerdem nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodolfo Baumar's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Talleres's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodolfo Baumar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Rodolfo Baumar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sercan Tümerdem to strike the kick off in the second half. Erasmo Quilino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnaldo Totakoxe having to make a save. Rodolfo Baumar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
