With a little luck, LOS MENTI's Şenol Güneş got control of the ball when Damaso Alonso tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, 汪常然 managed to get in a good position for a shot. LOS MENTI's supporters rose to their feet, but 汪常然 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miroslaw Gollob breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jurand Cempa got free with Şenol Güneş in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Zárate in the 24th minute of play forced LOS MENTI's goalkeeper Şenol Güneş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zacisze Częstochowa's goalkeeper Miroslaw Gollob, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jurand Cempa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Şenol Güneş made a huge save. Şenol Güneş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Zárate, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Şenol Güneş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Zárate in the 31st minute of play. Şenol Güneş made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jurand Cempa in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, LOS MENTI's goal looked a bit too open when Gaston Zárate came free, but Şenol Güneş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in LOS MENTI's zone, Jurand Cempa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Şenol Güneş came out of the goal and Jurand Cempa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Şenol Güneş made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Margiris Nekrošius sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, LOS MENTI's Şenol Güneş got control of the ball when Jurand Cempa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 46 played minutes LOS MENTI got a freekick which was hit by Marco George. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Zárate in the 47th minute of play forced LOS MENTI's goalkeeper Şenol Güneş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

A wasted opportunity for Zacisze Częstochowa. In the 60th match minute, Zacisze Częstochowa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Margiris Nekrošius to maneuver through the defense. Zacisze Częstochowa's Przemyslaw Maldini was substituted for Gonzalo Firme. Margiris Nekrošius kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rdth minute of the game Jurand Cempa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LOS MENTI's Şenol Güneş was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 64 minutes LOS MENTI's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cristo Verdu who took care of the corner kick. Cristo Verdu made a great header on Zacisze Częstochowa's corner, it was just that LOS MENTI's Şenol Güneş managed to reach the ball for a save. Şenol Güneş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jurand Cempa in the 66th minute of play. Margiris Nekrošius hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Jurand Cempa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zacisze Częstochowa's attentive Damaso Alonso managed to snatch the ball when Felipe Pereyra made a throw-in in the 75th minute of the game. In the 81st minute Zacisze Częstochowa were awarded a corner. Cristo Verdu went to the cornerflag to take it. Zacisze Częstochowa's Miroslaw Gollob proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Zacisze Częstochowa from getting a goal against them. Jurand Cempa might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Şenol Güneş. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jurand Cempa ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgar Zaremba during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Şenol Güneş came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Zacisze Częstochowa's Jurand Cempa. But to his dismay, Jurand Cempa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0.
