After 11 minutes of play, Várdomb's Márton Zádori made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erwin Teesing was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 22nd minute of the match Sándor Szilágyi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erwin Teesing skillfully saved the ball. In the 24th minute Bertold Csonka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Teesing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by ASC South United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sándor Szilágyi was slow to take the kick. During this time Várdomb's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Sándor Szilágyi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Erwin Teesing quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to ASC South United getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Andreas Tamminga hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, ASC South United's goal looked a bit too open when Sándor Szilágyi came free, but Erwin Teesing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erwin Teesing came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Várdomb's Kálmán Horváth. But to his dismay, Kálmán Horváth quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Balázs Héj hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, Kálmán Horváth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Andreas Tamminga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kálmán Horváth in the 45th minute of play forced ASC South United's goalkeeper Erwin Teesing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Taco Scholte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erwin Teesing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kálmán Horváth in the 48th minute of play.

After some careless play in the ASC South United defense, Sándor Szilágyi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erwin Teesing. The ASC South United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erwin Teesing should have stopped the shot. Erwin Teesing made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Sándor Szilágyi sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Levente Oláh during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Várdomb getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Levente Oláh hit a great ball. Márton Zádori received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Erwin Teesing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sándor Szilágyis short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Erwin Teesing to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Erwin Teesing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sándor Szilágyi in the 71st minute of the match. ASC South United's Erwin Teesing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Márton Zádori in the 72nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Bertold Csonka could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Erwin Teesing however easily saved by the left post. ASC South United's Taco Scholte got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kálmán Horváth in the 76th minute of play forced ASC South United's goalkeeper Erwin Teesing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bertold Csonka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, ASC South United's Erwin Teesing got control of the ball when Kálmán Horváth tried to sneak it across the goal line. Balázs Héj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erwin Teesing having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Sándor Szilágyi could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which Erwin Teesing however easily saved by the left post. Rolf van der Saar charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rolf van der Saar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Várdomb's Henrik Gyarmati was substituted for Bertold Csonka. 97 minutes into the game, Cees Hermensen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ASC South United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Várdomb the free kick. Cees Hermensen kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match.
