Alberto Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenios Ioannidis in the 12th minute of the match. After 14 minutes of play, Diamonds FC's Jorginho Azevedo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sakis Karvouniaris was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thalis Papaefthimiou blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alberto Catarinense having to make a save. Alberto Catarinense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thalis Papaefthimiou in the 21st minute. After 23 played minutes Diamonds FC got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Tavares. 27 minutes into the match, Diamonds FC's goalkeeper Alberto Catarinense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thalis Papaefthimiou. Thalis Papaefthimiou came free with the goalkeeper in the 31st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alberto Catarinense could save by the left post. 33 minutes into the match, Diamonds FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenios Ioannidis came free, but Alberto Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Eugenios Ioannidis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alberto Catarinense. That made the score 1-1 in the 46 minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thalis Papaefthimiou made a kick off. Guto de Amaral hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Diamonds FC's Paulo Paes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Paulo Paes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Diamonds FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Paulo Paes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Diamonds FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for Glyka Nera FC. Stelios Egomitis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alberto Catarinense. 2-2. Eugenios Ioannidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Catarinense having to interfere. After 77 played minutes Glyka Nera FC got a freekick which was hit by Marios Tomaras. 78 minutes into the match, Nuno Massa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sakis Karvouniaris, 3-3. The Glyka Nera FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-3. Jorginho Azevedo charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorginho Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
