Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Bengt-Rune Strömbom made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, AC Civetta Notturna's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Rune Strömbom came free, but Mark Evans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Bengt-Rune Strömbom's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mark Evans was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Alexandre Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Carbonaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Bernardo Carbonaro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alexandre Pires. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Ulf Öfverman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mark Evans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domenico Allegretti in the 14th minute of play forced Brothers of Mercy's goalkeeper Alexandre Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AC Civetta Notturna's goalie prevented a goal. Ulf Öfverman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Domenico Allegretti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Alexandre Pires made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulf Öfverman in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mark Evans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 28 minutes into the match, AC Civetta Notturna's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Rune Strömbom came free, but Mark Evans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Brothers of Mercy were awarded a corner. Thiago van Dijk went to the cornerflag to take it. Dan Björk was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. AC Civetta Notturna's Mark Evans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Öfverman in the 34th minute of play. With an all-out effort, AC Civetta Notturna's Alexandre Pires threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bernardo Carbonaro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mark Evans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mats Elg in the 38th minute of the match. After 39 played minutes AC Civetta Notturna got a freekick which was hit by Daniele Di Nardo. After recieving a nice pass, Brothers of Mercy's Thiago van Dijk tried to score from far away in the 40th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Cristiano Baresi in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Brothers of Mercy's Dan Björk. 46 minutes into the game, Ulf Öfverman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brothers of Mercy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Civetta Notturna the free kick. In the 46th minute, Ulf Öfverman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardo Carbonaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bengt-Rune Strömbom kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulf Öfverman in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. Mark Evans came out and tried to block the shot, but Bengt-Rune Strömbom slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in AC Civetta Notturna's zone, Ulf Öfverman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mark Evans came out of the goal and Ulf Öfverman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bengt-Rune Strömbom could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Mark Evans made a huge save. 72 minutes into the game, Cristiano Baresi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Civetta Notturna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brothers of Mercy the free kick. Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After taking down the ball on Brothers of Mercy's corner Ulf Öfverman fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mark Evans quite easily take care of the ball. 83 minutes into the match, AC Civetta Notturna's goalkeeper Mark Evans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bengt-Rune Strömbom. In the 85th minute, Bengt-Rune Strömbom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, AC Civetta Notturna's goalkeeper Mark Evans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bengt-Rune Strömbom. Mark Evans made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Bengt-Rune Strömbom sent off a good shot on target. In the 95th minute, Brothers of Mercy's Thiago van Dijk seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Thiago van Dijk the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Brothers of Mercy protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Thiago van Dijk had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Brothers of Mercy! In the 98th minute there was a penalty for AC Civetta Notturna. Demetrio De Felice stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alexandre Pires. 2-1. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. AC Civetta Notturna were victorious despite being under pressure from Brothers of Mercy for much of the match.
