The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Costin Ignătoiu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Antaios Tsangaris fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brothers of Mercy's protests and gave Antaios Tsangaris a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Brothers of Mercy's Antaios Tsangaris got a free kick in the 5th minute. Costin Ignătoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Öfverman in the 9th minute of the match. Leonardo Odeen took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Costin Ignătoiu. Costin Ignătoiu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulf Öfverman in the 15th minute of play forced AFC PunisherS™'s goalkeeper Costin Ignătoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago van Dijk was slow to take the kick. During this time Brothers of Mercy's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Thiago van Dijk got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Costin Ignătoiu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulf Öfverman in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Costin Ignătoiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of AFC PunisherS™ booed when Brothers of Mercy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Björk didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the AFC PunisherS™ defense, Ulf Öfverman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Costin Ignătoiu. The AFC PunisherS™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Costin Ignătoiu should have stopped the shot. 39 minutes into the game, Brothers of Mercy's Bengt-Rune Strömbom nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Costin Ignătoiu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 42nd match minute, Brothers of Mercy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mats Elg to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Gavril Chibulcutean in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Brothers of Mercy's Antaios Tsangaris. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind AFC PunisherS™'s goalkeeper Costin Ignătoiu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alexandre Pires made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Isac Frunză sent off a good shot on target.

In the 52nd minute, Bengt-Rune Strömbom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Costin Ignătoiu was a little too slow when Ulf Öfverman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-4. The Brothers of Mercy fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 62 minutes into the match, AFC PunisherS™'s goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Öfverman came free, but Costin Ignătoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, AFC PunisherS™'s Gavril Chibulcutean got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 66th play minute Ulf Öfverman came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Costin Ignătoiu. 0-6. Costin Ignătoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulf Öfverman in the 69th minute of play. Ulf Öfverman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Costin Ignătoiu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute of the match Brothers of Mercy got a corner. AFC PunisherS™'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Thiago van Dijk ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Brothers of Mercy's Thiago van Dijk to fire away a dangerous shot which Costin Ignătoiu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Bengt-Rune Strömbom put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Costin Ignătoiu. With a little luck, AFC PunisherS™'s Costin Ignătoiu got control of the ball when Bengt-Rune Strömbom tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bengt-Rune Strömbom kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mihail Stroia during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Brothers of Mercy's Nevada Sierra was substituted for Mats Elg. The supporters of Brothers of Mercy booed when AFC PunisherS™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihail Stroia didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Kieran Robertson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 88th minute, AFC PunisherS™'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bengt-Rune Strömbom fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 88 minutes, Ulf Öfverman made it 0-8 with a short kick to the right side. AFC PunisherS™'s Costin Ignătoiu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulf Öfverman in the 93rd minute of play forced AFC PunisherS™'s goalkeeper Costin Ignătoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bengt-Rune Strömbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The AFC PunisherS™ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Brothers of Mercy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
