Brothers of Mercy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Várdomb the free kick. Ulf Öfverman kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After 33 minutes, Sándor Karsai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Várdomb and the Brothers of Mercy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd match minute, Várdomb was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sándor Karsai to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bengt-Rune Strömbom in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sándor Czibor saved Várdomb from getting behind. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bengt-Rune Strömbom made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulf Öfverman in the 52nd minute of play forced Várdomb's goalkeeper Sándor Czibor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ulf Öfverman came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Brothers of Mercy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulf Öfverman couldn't finish the play. Balázs Héj's late challenge caught a Brothers of Mercy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Balázs Héj helped the player get up and apologised. Brothers of Mercy's Nils-Åke Koch was substituted for Mats Elg. A collision led to Várdomb getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Balázs Héj hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sándor Czibor. That made the score 1-4 after 60 minutes of play. Brothers of Mercy's Erramu Chute was substituted for Bengt-Rune Strömbom. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulf Öfverman in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sándor Czibor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Brothers of Mercy's Thiago van Dijk was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sándor Czibor in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, Várdomb's Sándor Czibor got control of the ball when Erramu Chute tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Brothers of Mercy booed when Várdomb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balázs Héj didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute, Ulf Öfverman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brothers of Mercy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. In the 91st minute, Brothers of Mercy's Erramu Chute dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-7.
