After a defensive mix-up in AFC Nirosxn 08's zone, Traian Traian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mugurel Slătineanu came out of the goal and Traian Traian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute, Traian Traian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mugurel Slătineanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Atanasiu in the 21st minute of play forced Fotbal Club Vaslui's goalkeeper Andrei Oloieru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Traian Traian put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Mugurel Slătineanu. David Jönsätt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Javier Montes was slow to take the kick. During this time Fotbal Club Vaslui's players had a chance to rest. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fotbal Club Vaslui's goalkeeper Andrei Oloieru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Fotbal Club Vaslui supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fotbal Club Vaslui would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
