Theo Hayles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Iwan Nakoneczny made a huge save. Evelio Pes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iwan Nakoneczny having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
