The audience thought a goal was coming when Larry Ferrell got free with Vânderson Pena in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 94th minute Maarek Jaama shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ged Nightingale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
