A sloppy throw-in by Jamar Orlinsky in the 51st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Playa Malvín's Vladimiro Marquez. Nils Elmhuus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wang Sha Qian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Cascade Park West's zone, Gong Qi Fan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dario Wilhelm came out of the goal and Gong Qi Fan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, Gong Qi Fan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dario Wilhelm. Cascade Park West's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gong Qi Fan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. If Gong Qi Fan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cascade Park West's Dario Wilhelm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gong Qi Fan in the 66th minute of play.
