An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Junior in the 5th minute of play forced CERRO PORTEÑO's goalkeeper Jiang Lei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, CERRO PORTEÑO's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Alagoano came free, but Jiang Lei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinicio Junior kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aníbal Alagoano in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jiang Lei saved CERRO PORTEÑO from getting behind. Jiang Lei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Arósio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, CERRO PORTEÑO's David Seaman threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from 任棋振, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 29th minute Aníbal Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jiang Lei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Junior in the 29th minute of play forced CERRO PORTEÑO's goalkeeper Jiang Lei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arcan Siralp kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vinicio Junior in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jiang Lei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 41 minutes into the game, Jenipapo SC's Aníbal Alagoano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jiang Lei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. CERRO PORTEÑO made a substitution. Moreno Martins replaced 任棋振. David Seaman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 王树帆 in the 47th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mohieddine Ayari got free with David Seaman in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aníbal Alagoano was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by 王树帆 in the 52nd minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper David Seaman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aníbal Alagoano got free with Jiang Lei in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jiang Lei came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Jenipapo SC's Raphael Cunha. But to his dismay, Raphael Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After 61 minutes, Zé Carlos Monteiro made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. CERRO PORTEÑO's Jiang Lei tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Raphael Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Mohieddine Ayari had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Seaman. Jenipapo SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mohieddine Ayari was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Mohieddine Ayari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Seaman having to interfere. In the 75th minute Moreno Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Seaman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, 王树帆 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Seaman. Jenipapo SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 王树帆 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. In the 84th minute, Raphael Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute of the match CERRO PORTEÑO got a corner. Jenipapo SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paulo Maldini ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on CERRO PORTEÑO's corner Paulo Maldini fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and David Seaman quite easily take care of the ball. Aníbal Alagoano struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Jiang Lei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jenipapo SC. When CERRO PORTEÑO's Mohieddine Ayari in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jenipapo SC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of CERRO PORTEÑO booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pompiliu Poalelungi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jenipapo SC played a much better game than CERRO PORTEÑO and deserved their victory. The CERRO PORTEÑO players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
