Playa Malvín's Zé Roberto Teixeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Playa Malvín from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Stamen Tekeliev came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Seaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stamen Tekeliev, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stamen Tekeliev to make the kick off. David Seaman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stamen Tekeliev went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Zé Roberto Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute Raphael Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Roberto Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
