In the 26th minute, CERRO PORTEÑO's Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Defensores de Lombroso's Denis Paulin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Defensores de Lombroso from getting a goal against them. Denis Paulin made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis sent off a good shot on target. 38 minutes into the match, CERRO PORTEÑO's goal looked a bit too open when Lionel-Andrés Messi came free, but Cãlin Damaschin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cãlin Damaschin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfredo Gau in the 40th minute of the match. With his leg Cãlin Damaschin managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Defensores de Lombroso's Lionel-Andrés Messi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 72 minutes into the game, Federico Pirro threw the ball into play from the sideline. CERRO PORTEÑO's Abel Velasco quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With his leg Cãlin Damaschin managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Defensores de Lombroso's Uriel Ferrer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Denis Paulin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Many of Defensores de Lombroso's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Defensores de Lombroso may have spent more time on the ball, but CERRO PORTEÑO were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
