Deportivo Balvanera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ the free kick. The supporters of ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ booed when Deportivo Balvanera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florencio Paz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eleuterio Lamberto's late challenge caught a Deportivo Balvanera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eleuterio Lamberto helped the player get up and apologised. Ubaldo Frisco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Restu in the 20th minute of play. Godfredo Chago could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Fernan Ignado made a huge save. After 29 minutes, Guaberto Valery mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Balvanera and the ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ramiro Quin struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Ubaldo Frisco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Balvanera. Fernan Ignado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermengildo Dalmai in the 45th minute of the match. ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's Ubaldo Frisco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Fliz in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rene Restu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Restu in the 55th minute of play forced ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's goalkeeper Ubaldo Frisco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernan Ignado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Dalmai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute, Hermengildo Dalmai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernan Ignado was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Deportivo Balvanera's Anacleto Toli was substituted for Efrain Ilixo. Fernan Ignado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Dalmai, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 66th minute Hermengildo Dalmai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernan Ignado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omar Fliz got free with Ubaldo Frisco in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's Ubaldo Frisco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Restu in the 71st minute of play.
