An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Lehoi in the 35th minute of play forced Las Palmas's goalkeeper Evelio Naike to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 played minutes Las Palmas got a freekick which was hit by Florencio Dimas. Evelio Naike made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Cordarin in the 41st minute of play. If Nicanor Fanuco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the game, Jose Aritza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Evelio Naike was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Las Palmas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Deportivo Balvanera were winning 0-5.

The wind increased when Leandro Cordarin made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Eduardo Ihintza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Deportivo Balvanera left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Las Palmas.
