With a little luck, Brasil off's Laureano Guillelmo got control of the ball when Jose Aritza tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Deportivo Balvanera's Leandro Cordarin in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Bernardo Asier fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brasil off's protests and gave Bernardo Asier a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th minute, Bernardo Asier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abel Neron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dante Montrelle in the 17th minute of play. After 18 minutes Deportivo Balvanera's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alexis Mac Allister who took care of the corner kick. Deportivo Balvanera's Abel Neron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexis Mac Allister in the 22nd minute of play. Abel Neron came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Brasil off's Alexis Mac Allister. But to his dismay, Alexis Mac Allister quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Venancio Chaime hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leandro Cordarin got free with Laureano Guillelmo in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abel Neron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexis Mac Allister in the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Eusebio Lehoi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Laureano Guillelmo, 1-1. The supporters of Brasil off booed when Deportivo Balvanera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Placido Cordarell didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leandro Cordarin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Laureano Guillelmo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Cordarin, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Jose Aritza charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Aritza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jose Aritza kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Deportivo Balvanera's Rene Restu got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Laureano Guillelmo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rene Restu's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Brasil off eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
