Pól Caniggia scored 0-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evelio Naike, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Loco Martin was the one to do the kick off. Luciano Aballe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 80th minute Anier Elazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evelio Naike saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 minutes of play, Las Palmas's Paulino Gabino made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luciano Aballe was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 85 played minutes Las Palmas got a freekick which was hit by Lino Godoy. Evelio Naike made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Loco Martin sent off a good shot on target. El coca fc's Octavio Blasco got his second yellow card of the match in the 92nd minute. The referee ordered Octavio Blasco off the ground. In the 93rd match minute, El coca fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Blasco to maneuver through the defense. Las Palmas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
