Thanks to some nice moves Yannick Bartz could shoot a difficult shot in the 4th minute, which Edwin van der Sar however easily saved by the left post. The corner ended in Waldemar Okopny almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's Edwin van der Sar did a great save. Waldemar Okopny succeeded in the game's 9th minute to get real power on a long shot . Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's Edwin van der Sar hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 1-0! Unidad de Matanza's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Waldemar Okopny in the 13th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's zone, Nestor Bâru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edwin van der Sar came out of the goal and Nestor Bâru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's Edwin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Bâru in the 27th minute of play. In the 28thth minute of the game Nestor Bâru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's Edwin van der Sar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nestor Bâru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Edwin van der Sar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edwin van der Sar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nestor Bâru in the 33rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nestor Bâru in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edwin van der Sar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Clodoveo Orlin's late challenge caught a Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clodoveo Orlin helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 played minutes Unidad de Matanza got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Orlin. 43 minutes into the game, Unidad de Matanza's Nestor Bâru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edwin van der Sar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Leukothoe Atsidakos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Cristofol having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nestor Bâru to make the kick off. Yannick Bartz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute Michal Stehno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edwin van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Reyes, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Bernardo lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Cristofol having to interfere. Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's Xande Solitario was substituted for Leukothoe Atsidakos. Unidad de Matanza's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Leopoldo Gaxan scored to the left of an out of position Venancio Cristofol, making the score, 2-1. Edwin van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michal Stehno, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Edwin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Máximo Kirchner in the 88th minute of the match. A collision led to Unidad de Matanza getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Robert Zemeckis hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the match, Unidad de Matanza's goalkeeper Venancio Cristofol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xande Solitario. Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
