The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Augusto Estefan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 4th minute Augusto Estefan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Cristofol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zachariasz Dudkowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michal Stehno, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Zachariasz Dudkowski made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Michal Stehno sent off a good shot on target. 29 minutes into the match, CRUZ DEL SUR's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Grøtterud came free, but Zachariasz Dudkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, CRUZ DEL SUR's Augusto Estefan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Venancio Cristofol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Unidad de Matanza getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Clodoveo Orlin hit a great ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Michal Stehno made the kick off in the second half. Augusto Estefan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Venancio Cristofol came out and tried to block the shot, but Augusto Estefan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 55th minute. CRUZ DEL SUR's Ronnie Odell managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Clodoveo Orlin in the 58 minute of the game. If Augusto Estefan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 61 minutes into the match, Unidad de Matanza's goalkeeper Venancio Cristofol had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Estefan. 68 minutes into the match, CRUZ DEL SUR's goal looked a bit too open when Máximo Kirchner came free, but Zachariasz Dudkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Unidad de Matanza's Nestor Bâru was substituted for Martin Grøtterud. After 90 minutes, Eustacio Antonucci made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Unidad de Matanza's Venancio Cristofol tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Fabio Zorondo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Venancio Cristofol made a huge save. Nestor Bâru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zachariasz Dudkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Bâru in the 95th minute of play. The CRUZ DEL SUR players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
