An unexpectedly hard shot by Michal Stehno in the 22nd minute of play forced União Sport Clube Paredes's goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 minutes União Sport Clube Paredes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Martin Grøtterud who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Martin Grøtterud got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edwin van der Sar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Waldemar Okopny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Edwin van der Sar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonatan Eguzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo lago in the 27th minute of play. Leopoldo Gaxan kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Martin Grøtterud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Unidad de Matanza's Jonatan Eguzki got control of the ball when Alexandre Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edwin van der Sar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Máximo Kirchner in the 35th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Michal Stehno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edwin van der Sar. União Sport Clube Paredes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michal Stehno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After the first half Unidad de Matanza were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Michal Stehno to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerónimo Furtado in the 53rd minute of play forced Unidad de Matanza's goalkeeper Jonatan Eguzki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Jerónimo Furtado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonatan Eguzki was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Michal Stehno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Unidad de Matanza's Michal Stehno slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edwin van der Sar. That made the score 1-4 after 62 minutes of play. Unidad de Matanza's Lateef Raal was substituted for Máximo Kirchner. Unidad de Matanza made a substitution. Nestor Bâru replaced Martin Grøtterud. Edwin van der Sar came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Unidad de Matanza's Nestor Bâru. But to his dismay, Nestor Bâru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-6. Jonatan Eguzki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Gaxan, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes into the match, União Sport Clube Paredes's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Bâru came free, but Edwin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonatan Eguzki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Unidad de Matanza had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
