The supporters of Isótopos V.M. booed when Alijilán returns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Paez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 33 played minutes Alijilán returns got a freekick which was hit by Angel Paez. Justino Monico kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Milton Giménez in the 37th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 41 minutes into the match, Silvano Baleren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luciano Anaya. Isótopos V.M.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvano Baleren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Alijilán returns's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angel Paez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Milton Giménez made the kick off in the second half. Lino Naelio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milton Giménez, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Silvano Alvarez struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Lino Naelio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Isótopos V.M.. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luciano Anaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 90 minutes, Octavio Misael mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Isótopos V.M. and the Alijilán returns players grew even worse after the yellow card.
