Cecilio Refugio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milton Giménez in the 5th minute of the match. The supporters of Isótopos V.M. booed when Cachiyuyo EAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natalio Laurin didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Milton Giménez in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cecilio Refugio saved Cachiyuyo EAS from getting behind. When Isótopos V.M.'s Milton Giménez in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cachiyuyo EAS's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Ladislao Abeita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Isótopos V.M.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ladislao Abeita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cecilio Refugio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 13 minutes, Milton Giménez made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cachiyuyo EAS's Cecilio Refugio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ladislao Abeita kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Luciano Anaya didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Calvino went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Maximiliano Seguinus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cecilio Refugio having to make a save. 26 minutes into the match, Isótopos V.M.'s Milton Giménez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cecilio Refugio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Milton Giménez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cecilio Refugio having to interfere. After 40 played minutes Cachiyuyo EAS got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Quirce. Isótopos V.M.'s Ladislao Abeita got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Milton Giménez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvano Alvarez got free with Cecilio Refugio in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th minute Milton Giménez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Refugio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alberto Calvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Juan Furtado took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Cecilio Refugio to make any attempt to save it. Isótopos V.M. made a substitution. Karim Benzema replaced Milton Giménez. Luciano Anaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Calvino in the 79th minute of play. In the 84th match minute, Cachiyuyo EAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Weterio to maneuver through the defense. Cecilio Refugio was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Karim Benzema capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Karim Benzema really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. In the 89th minute, Karim Benzema ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cecilio Refugio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Isótopos V.M.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
