The audience thought a goal was coming when Attilio Losito got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Armando Di Massimo hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Escribano notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Stintino FC's Antonello Ranieri. Antonello Ranieri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Uruguay's Fernando Zorita was substituted for Jaime Cazalla. Alex Rizzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Stintino FC's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonello Ranieri came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, Maximiliano Escribano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Francisco Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonello Ranieri was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. A collision led to Stintino FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Concetto Petrella hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maximiliano Escribano in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonello Ranieri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
