Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. João Pedro Meirelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Pedro Meirelles. Tomb Raider FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute. A nice corner shot did that Luis Andino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this João Pedro Meirelles quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. João Pedro Meirelles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Constantijn Schoovaerts in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Falcão de Medeiros charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Falcão de Medeiros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Falcão de Medeiros hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Pedro Meirelles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Váldson Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Tomb Raider FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but João Pedro Meirelles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Váldson Palmeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Váldson Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, Tomb Raider FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but João Pedro Meirelles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the match, Tomb Raider FC's Filipe Abraão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 42nd match minute, Tomb Raider FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantijn Schoovaerts to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 44th minute of play forced Tomb Raider FC's goalkeeper João Pedro Meirelles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Falcão de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 52 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Váldson Palmeira came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Váldson Palmeira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tomb Raider FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 59th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Tomb Raider FC's Constantijn Schoovaerts. But to his dismay, Constantijn Schoovaerts quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 66 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Balthazar Minnen came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. João Pedro Meirelles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Tomb Raider FC's João Pedro Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 88th minute of play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Pedro Meirelles having to interfere. Balthazar Minnen took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The Tomb Raider FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
