The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zbyszek Kaider showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Öfverman in the 7th minute of the match. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind MZetowe Mastodonty's goalkeeper Zbyszek Kaider, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ulf Öfverman scored 1-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zbyszek Kaider, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zbyszek Kaider took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Öfverman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th match minute, Brothers of Mercy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Björk to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the game, Jörn Matsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brothers of Mercy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MZetowe Mastodonty the free kick. Bengt-Rune Strömbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zbyszek Kaider having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zikri Eygül in the 43rd minute of play forced Brothers of Mercy's goalkeeper Stig-Arne Boström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ulf Öfverman to strike the kick off in the second half. MZetowe Mastodonty made a substitution. Khamzat Chimaev replaced Zikri Eygül. Thiago van Dijk made a great header on Brothers of Mercy's corner, it was just that MZetowe Mastodonty's Zbyszek Kaider managed to reach the ball for a save.
