Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Iakovos Papafotopoulos started the match with the kick off. If Bengt-Rune Strömbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute, Karl-Oskar Käcker made a precise shot to the right of Nikolas Karkamanis. Atletico de Madrid's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Ulf Öfverman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brothers of Mercy's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulf Öfverman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nikolas Karkamanis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jörn Matsson hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Ulf Öfverman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nikolas Karkamanis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 28th minute, Ulf Öfverman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brothers of Mercy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. In the 33rd minute, Ulf Öfverman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nikos Papapanagiotou kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Savas Stavridis lost his temper 35 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, Atletico de Madrid's Savas Stavridis got a free kick in the 36th minute. Nikolas Karkamanis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arvin Haegg in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Ulf Öfverman notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Atletico de Madrid's Nikolas Karkamanis. Nikolas Karkamanis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 45 minutes into the game, Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nikolas Karkamanis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8.

The wind increased when Ulf Öfverman made the kick off in the second half. Nikolas Karkamanis made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Ulf Öfverman sent off a good shot on target. Ulf Öfverman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nikolas Karkamanis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Bengt-Rune Strömbom cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-11. Nikolas Karkamanis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nikolas Karkamanis came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Brothers of Mercy's Bengt-Rune Strömbom. But to his dismay, Bengt-Rune Strömbom quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-13. Stig-Arne Boström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iakovos Papafotopoulos in the 76th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico de Madrid's zone, Ulf Öfverman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nikolas Karkamanis came out of the goal and Ulf Öfverman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 79th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Nikolas Karkamanis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Oskar Käcker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nikolas Karkamanis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Karl-Oskar Käcker showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-16 in the 87 minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Ulf Öfverman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nikolas Karkamanis. Atletico de Madrid's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ulf Öfverman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-17. 93 minutes into the game, Ulf Öfverman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nikolas Karkamanis. Ulf Öfverman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-18. When the match was over Brothers of Mercy could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atletico de Madrid throughout the match.
