Mansour Trezeguet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 9 minutes into the game, Juventus FC's Mansour Trezeguet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nikolas Karkamanis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 12 minutes into the game, Emmanouil Kalivas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atletico de Madrid's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Juventus FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Atletico de Madrid's Emmanouil Kalivas got a free kick in the 12th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nikos Papapanagiotou during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nikos Papapanagiotou kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After 14 played minutes, Juventus FC's Igor Zubeldia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nikolas Karkamanis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Juventus FC reached it. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Mansour Cannavaro put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Nikolas Karkamanis. Abarrotz Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Atletico de Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Berto Romero came free, but Nikolas Karkamanis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 27 minutes, Mansour Trezeguet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Juventus FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mansour Trezeguet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Mansour Trezeguet notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Atletico de Madrid's Nikolas Karkamanis. Nikolas Karkamanis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Mansour Trezeguet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nikolas Karkamanis was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Mansour Trezeguet put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Nikolas Karkamanis. Nikolas Karkamanis came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Juventus FC's Mansour Trezeguet. But to his dismay, Mansour Trezeguet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thanasis Vamvoukas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mansour Trezeguet in the 51st minute of play forced Atletico de Madrid's goalkeeper Nikolas Karkamanis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nikolas Karkamanis was a little too slow when Abarrotz Torres got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-7. When Mansour Cannavaro came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Juventus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mansour Cannavaro couldn't finish the play. 60 minutes into the game, Mansour Cannavaro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Nikolas Karkamanis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 63 minutes, Mansour Cannavaro made it 0-9 with a short kick to the right side. Atletico de Madrid's Nikolas Karkamanis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anter Vidal during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th minute, Anter Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juventus FC made a substitution. Kaiet Sobrado replaced Oliviero Bermejo. Anter Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Mansour Trezeguet kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nikolas Karkamanis. That made the score 0-10 in the 70 minute of play. Thanasis Vamvoukas charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thanasis Vamvoukas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd match minute, Atletico de Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thanasis Vamvoukas to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Mansour Cannavaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juventus FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mansour Cannavaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nikolas Karkamanis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nikolas Karkamanis was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Berto Romero capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Berto Romero really showed his touch with that goal: 0-11. 79 minutes into the match, Atletico de Madrid's goalkeeper Nikolas Karkamanis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mansour Cannavaro. Mansour Trezeguet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Nikolas Karkamanis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nikolas Karkamanis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mansour Trezeguet in the 84th minute of play. Nikolas Karkamanis was a little too slow when Mansour Cannavaro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 0-12. In the 91stth minute of the game Mansour Trezeguet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletico de Madrid's Nikolas Karkamanis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Atletico de Madrid's Nikolas Karkamanis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Atletico de Madrid from getting a goal against them. Juventus FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
