The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Domingos Dalmau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duardo Pruniel in the 3rd minute of play. In the 7th match minute, COSQUIN SFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquilino Richie to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute, Marcos Paut got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in COSQUIN SFC's zone, Reces Bacheler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingos Dalmau came out of the goal and Reces Bacheler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the COSQUIN SFC defense, Reces Bacheler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Domingos Dalmau. The COSQUIN SFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domingos Dalmau should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julián Alvarez to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Duardo Pruniel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Domingos Dalmau was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Modestio Jina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Dalmau having to interfere. After 64 minutes, Modestio Jina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ornitorrincos F.C. and the COSQUIN SFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th match minute, Ornitorrincos F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duardo Pruniel to maneuver through the defense. Modestio Jina scored 8-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Domingos Dalmau, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Domingos Dalmau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reces Bacheler, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Ornitorrincos F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
